Delegation from China visits Health Service The Children, Youth and Women's Health Service (CYWHS) hosted a delegation of officials from the Guilin Municipal Women's and Children's Hospital (GWCH), in the Guangxi province, China, in November. The delegation toured CYWHS services, both at the Women's and Children's Hospital (WCH) and community health sites during the visit, on 5-6 November. This included a showcase of the Health Service's maternal and neonatal services, paediatric services, critical care units and community based services such as Café Enfield and Torrens House. CYWHS Chief Executive Officer Gail Mondy said the visit provided an opportunity to develop the relationship between the two health services and explore potential future partnerships. "We were fortunate to have the opportunity to showcase what we do well here, but also gain insights into practices in the Guilin Municipal Women's and Children's Hospital and to strengthen the relationship between the two health services," Ms Mondy said. The delegation included Principal Wang, Dr Liao, Chief Doctor in Paediatric Services at GWCH and Miss Ning, the Director of the Office of the Principal. The visit came about through a connection between a CYWHS staff member, Dr Bill Hague, and the Guilin Municipal Women's and Children's Hospital. Dr Hague is a senior consultant in obstetrics at the WCH and is also a visiting Professor to the Guilin Municipal Women's and Children's Hospital. His mother, Dr Greta Hague was the third Director of the Guilin Hospital from 1947 to 1950.
